Influence and Effect of Urban Metabolism


Research summary

The process of urban metabolism may lead to changes of land cover, city texture, people’s lifestyle and so on. Then all these changes could affect resource abundance, local and regional climate, biodiversity and so on. Understanding different influences and effects that urban metabolism brings forward could help us identify more appropriate ways of urban metabolism under different scenarios.
